Body, mind and soul. They are undeniably interconnected and their conditions are dependent on one another. A healthy body is not a requirement for faith and intimacy with God, but I’ve found in my experience that when I care for the basic needs of my body, my spiritual life flourishes. What we eat, whether or not we exercise, and what we do in our free time can all help or hinder our relationship with the Lord. I can say with confidence from a God-given place of wholeness in Christ, there is a very real tie between my physical wellness and the state of my soul.

Day 3 - List the five songs you would have with you on a desert island and why.
First of all, there is no way that I could pick my top 5 favorite songs because they change every week! But, generally I can assume that if I was all by myself on an island and had to listen to only 5 songs, these would be pretty good choices:
Stop This Train by John Mayer
O, Holy Night by The Fray
Beautiful by Phil Wickham
Light Through the Veins by John Hopkins
Til Kingdom Come by Coldplay
Why these songs?
John Mayer is my fave. And “stop this train” will probably always be my thoughts on life.
The Fray’s version of O, Holy Night is absolutely the best. Any time of year.
Beautiful is one of those songs that just puts my heart and soul at rest and fills me with peace and joy.
If you’ve never heard Light Through the Veins, you should download it immediately. It’s 10 minutes long and all instrumental, making it the perfect song to relax and meditate to.
How could I survive without Coldplay. They might be tied with John Mayer for my #1 fave. All of their songs blow my mind.
